Moment of Silence & Prayer

Take a moment and say a prayer for all the families and friends of the families that died in the plane crash Sunday in Butte, Montana.

The families in the crash were all young families close to all of us in age with small children.

May their families find peace after such a horrible tragedy.

The movie was released yesterday .... and today it is on the DISH for rental .... so excuse me as I disappear at the speed of a Cullen rushing through the woods! ;)

Weight Watcher Girlies

Hey Weight Watcher Girlies ... we are all in the same boat .. watching that weight go up and down and wishing it would just disappear. Wondering why we can't skip a meal like we did when we were 16, 18 0r 21 an loose 5 pounds automatically.

I am not a Weight Watcher "offically" signed up for the program, BUT trust me when I say that I watch those scales like the rest of you and long for the days that I was a skinnier mini. I am proud of all of you for taking that step, signing up , watching those points and using flex point responsibly. (wink, wink ... Friday night did not count)

Anyhow, I am sharing a tip that helps me . I am addicted to reglar Coke, not Diet or Zero calorie or Caffinee free ... the good stuff. I can drink more than one a day .. will not tell you the exact number because I have not idea anymore, BUT I can drink A LOT of them in a day . I try to cut back and go cold turkey and have done it and always head back at some point in time. I stopped drinking them and was drinking ginger ale. (Yeah what you drink when you are sick.) BUT I lost almost 10 pounds doing it ......... Unfortunately I started back one here, two there and guess what ..... SIX of those pounds crep back on. YUCK!!!! SO last week I cut myself back to one a day and a couple days one (because I was too lazy to go out in the rain over the weekend and get them) I weighted this a.m. and had lost 4.2 pounds!!!!

So ... cut back or kick that soda habit ... as bad as it sounds and watch those pounds melt away. Plus think of all that money spent on soda and you can buy you sme new jeans in a new size!!!

PS .... Post what works for you ... a snack that takes the edge off a low cal meal .. whatever .. just share with us because we all watch the scale these days. ;)

I went to wake Maddie up and wished her a Happy St. Patty's Day. Her little eyes popped opened and she grabbed her ears and said "OH NOO!" A second later she sighs and says"Oh good." I asked her what was wrong? She tells me she though the Leprachauns had come and stole her earrings because they loved gold!

Can I get a Wooooo and a Whooooo!

I have been going through a little bit of a withdraw since finishing the Twilight series .... unable to commit to another series or a new book ... just really missing Edward and Bella .... wishing I was still reading them even though I was so excited to finally get to the ending!


Well, just 3 minutes ago I saw the best commercial ... the Twilight movie is being released next Saturday, March 21st!!!

ALL RIGHTY BABY!!! Give me a wooo and a whooo! I have not seen the movie .. really debating on whether I would watch it or not, but since I am missing these crazy characters ... I am actually excited to see it ... and in my own living room .... if I get my hubby to show me how to use the new DVD player before he heads out of town .... yes ... a weekend at home and I will be the only boss around. :) Can't wait .... 6 days!

Tooth Fairy

YES!!!!! The tooth Fairy has finally arrived at our house!

For the dog ... yes Biscuit has lost 4 teeth in the last week ....yes we saved them or at least we found 2 of them and left them out last night and Madison wanted her to leave them here, but leave Biscuit a treat.

This was the first thing Madison wanted to do ... go check for goodies for Biscuit. Sure enough 2 biscuits for the Biscuit and she left the teeth for us as well. She also wrote us a note, but it is way to small for us to read, but Madison being all about "Fairies" says she will figure it out because she speaks fairy of course. There were traces of pixie dust everywhere as well .. but why wouldn't there be .. right?

**PS ... Did I mention Madison is 7 years old and has lost NO TEETH at all and Biscuit is 5 months old and has lost these 4 ... what's up with that? teeheehe

So Sad, BUT Exciting Too!

As most of you know the past 5 years or so I have run my own little business Little Bits of Me and have had a website with it as well the past 4 years. Most of the work I do has been word of mouth over the years and I could not have done it without you all spreading the word. Unfortunately I have closed the website and Little Bits of Me is a thing of the past as of this past December 2008.

BUT HAVE NO FEAR.....

IS HERE!!!!!!!


I also opened a shop of this great site ETSY where all gifts are handmade in July of 2006... Mary Martha & Co. Basically the same thing except items are listed a little differently. I still except custom order like always. Just call or email me and let me know you need something special you don't see and we can whip it up ... local delivery and pick up still available. Not much has changed .. just the name and location. My ETSY shop has a contact button so you can leave me a message or comment here on the blog.

Thanks to everyone for a great run with Little Bits of Me and it's great sucess. Here is to the future of Mary Martha & Co. I am looking forward to adding new gifts to the selection I already have this year!

Ok Judi ... last night at the Blogger Blast dinner you asked us all to check out first blogging date ... mine was 12/28/o7. It all started for promoting my ETSY Shop .. Mary Martha & Co. Of course I use it more for personal info that I want to share with my Blogland Girlies ... ETSY SHop info sneaks in there too .... of course not enough of it. HA!!!

Also a big thanks to whoever .. Judi/Wendy ... for coming up with the Blogger's Blast dinner last night. That was fabulous!! It also has increased the realm of blogs ofr me to stalk ... heehe!

I had not paid any attention till my neighbor reminded me last night we were "springing forward" .... AHHHH! I love the extra sunlight at the end of the day, but hate the adjustment the first few weeks. I am READY for spring to arrive and put the sweaters away. Although it does creat a problem getting Maddie to bed .... thankfully I counted and we have 23 days till Spring Break and 52 days I believe till we get out for summer. (Yes girls, I counted this morning ...Can you tell I am ready for lazier days?)

Greater Than or Less Than?

Hmmmm? Which way does it go? I can never remember.

Thankfully I am only having to do 1st grade math and I guess my daughter's teacher KNOWS I don't know this ... because she used this super cute way to help the children (and all the Mommies helping with homework) this great way to remember which is which.

The dark green alligator is greater than and the light green alligator is less than. What a cute idea. Thanks Ms. Fetherolf for this .... math is not my strong suit unless it involves a calculator!

The Weatherman Is NOT A Liar!

Ok, all the children in Maddie's class think the Weatherman is just a liar .. well he proved them wrong this morning .. FINALLY! We have snow and NO SCHOOL!!!!

I got up at 5 a.m. to check things out because I was suppose to sub ... and there was snow outside and serious wind gusts! So I rushed to turn on the TV and boot up my puter ..... YES!!!! Finally the Weatherman has got it right on the nose and the snow is steady still coming down and it's almost 6 a.m.

This is at 5:30 from my front down. Not the best of compositions (like Lanny's new camera can take) BUT in my defense I was holding the glass door open and trying not to have the wind rip it off the frame.

Here is the backyard ...... did I mention Maddie was up also at 5:40 a.m. and refuses to go back to sleep thinking it is time to go out and play. WOW .. can you say "Somebody is gonna need a nap by noon?"

I am sure there will be more pictures later. Great thing is neighbors on the street their children are out on Winter Break so we will have friends to play with later. :)
