Oh MY!
Well, as you know my hubby gave me new cabinets for my birthday. These are the old ones ... not too bad looking, but up close not so pretty.
We have talked forever about doing this and of course I never imagined it would ever happen.
BUT IT IS HAPPENING!
This past week the project started - and it is way more indepth than originally planned.
This yellow wall got knocked out completely, they yanked ou my cabinets , stole my dishwasher, ripped up all the flooring and moved the line for the frig to the opposite wall!!!
Did I mettion that my cabinet guy isn't starting my new ones for about 4 weeks? so not much else is going to be done until then except some recess lighting.
Yup, I now have a make shift kitchen and no dishwasher!
I can't wait for the end porduct to get here and can't get here too soon!
Did I also mention my hubby is letting me pick out all new appliances which was not in the original plan also!! Am wondering what this little deal is gonna cost me in the end .... I really don't care .. It's gonna be amazing!!!!
PS - this whole knocking out of the wall was inspired by a remodel Meg did at er house and posted on her blog called Whatever. Thanks Meg!!! I can onpe mine turns out as awesome as yours did!!! Surf over and scroll back ab4-5 pages on her blog to see her kitchen - it really is great!!

Happy Birthday to ME! (2days early!)
This Sunday is my birthday .. a whopping 39 this year! Well, tonight my husband came home with a box tonight and plopped it on the kitchen table AND my bestest friend LODO sent me a box in themail as well. Her box had strict instructions not to open hr box till I had opned all my other gifts! Hmmm?
So Miss Maddie Paddie just could not wait to open my gifts - truth is neither could I! I hate waiting to open surprises - never have been very good at it. So twist my arm - my hubby wasn't much help and was like "You just might wanna go ahaead and open."
What the heck!!
OH MY!!! Low and behold .. a NOOK!!!! I would have never guessed it!!! So as I sit here and blog I am waiting patienly for it to charge so I can start using it. Ya' gotta have it fully charged before the thing will work - so I am having to wait!!!! AHHHH!!
My Hubby is the best!! This is the 2nd surprise of the week!! Wednesday afternooin he calls me ..
Him : "What ya' doing?"
Me : "Um, at school in the Library cleaning up, why?"
Him : "You want an early birthday gift?"
Me : "Uh, sure I guess."
Him : "I called Mr. Pulley and he is coming to fix your kitchen."
(aka .. getting new custom cabinets and countertops!!"
Me : "WHAT?REALLY?"
Him : "Yup, missed him by 2 days starting next week, but he will start in April! So get your colors picked and a countertop!"
Me : "REALLY?"
Him : "YUP! Happy Birthday!!"
(I am so excited, because I really don't like my kitchen!! Especially since the whole house was painted this fall except for the kitchen! The cabinets don't stay shut! There isn't a pantry. Oh I can't wait!!!)

Happy Birthday Stinkbug .. just a little late!
My sweet, sassy little stinkbug turned 8 .. LAST FRIDAY! Yes I am a little late in wishing this to her publicly, but have thought about it so many times it isn't funny. (Life has been getting in the way of posting and I just need to figure a better system for blogging than in my head!)
Her friendly Christmas Elf, Lilly has hung out a little bit longer than she was suppose to .. but Maddie had begged her to stay through her birthday and our as well. (See all three of us have a February birthday!!!) So since she stayed she had gifts for her when she got home from school that day as well!! :)
She cried that she wanted to stay 7, but as we all know that just ain't happening! She has since gotten over that and is embracing her 8-ness!
So we shall continue to celebrate birthday the rest of the month right till the end!
