M.I.A. Sighting!

Well I have been very M.I.A. these days, but have thought about blogging lots of days and just not gotten there!

I have been under a pile of books at Maddie's school since the beginning of August!

We've had a change of plans - ha! I am no longer teaching art BUT the Librarian now at Southampton Academy!

Overwhelmed at first at the thought of switching- TOTALLY elated about the switch after digging in!

I have perged the library and rearranged and dreamed of books galore!

I even got to pre-order THE MOCKINGJAY by Suzanne Collins this week. This is the 3rd book in her triliogy The Hunger Games which was the summer read for 7th-12th grade.

Watch for pictures of my "new home"! They will be coming as soon as I am finished tweaking it all!

School La La!

Last week I attacked my new classroom - yup - for those who don't know it - I am going back to work! FULL TIME!!!

Yes- I am the new Lower School Art Teacher at Southampton Academy!!!! OOO-La-La!!!! I am also the New Library Asst 2 days a week as well!!! 

My 1st full time job since Maddie was 1 year old!!

I made my name up there and put on the door marker! :) Cute, huh?

Here is a quick glance at my mess!!! It actually looks better here than it did if that is believable- ha! I'll give you a better peek at it once it is all put together. It will take several more days. I got  a ton done because my little helper had gone out of town to see her Granny and Poppa for a few days - hope the rest of this can be done and she will be a helper and not just make me crazy!

Well, her blog simply rocks! Her kiddos are the bomb and her pictures make me want to take better ones myself. Meg inspired my kitchen makeover!!

Like I said, I heart them all!!! If I could wrap them all up and move them to my street I would in a herat beat! We'd craft, play, take pictures, hang out and be buddies!

Oooops - A - Daisy!!

Biscuit isn't totally lovin' the new kitchen like the rest of us!! That is due to the new tile that she isn't too keen about walking on.

I put this HUGE old quilt down for Maddie to play on cuz she wants to be in her ALL the time like me ... but I think Biscuit is very thankful for the quilt so part of the time she doesn't have to walk on the tile.

 

She is such the baby!!

She hates to hardwood floors as well and only the old sewing room now family room and my bedroom have carpet. Poor pup!

Hope she'll get used to it and love it as much as the cat does! She comes in and stretches out on it these hot days forever.

Friday we finished a week of Cheer Camp - Maddie cheering and Me driving and loving all her happiness and excitement!!

I want to thank East Coast Rage formerly Spirit All Stars in Suffolk, Va. What a great experience!
